With the national median income at less than $30,000 per year, and private psychotherapy sessions often costing $150 per hour or more, too many people simply cannot afford therapy.
Additionally, psychology has often fixated on what goes wrong with people, giving many the impression that they should only seek therapy if there is something wrong in their life.
With these barriers in mind, Healbright is working with the best mental health professionals to make emotional wellness more accessible for everyone.
Healbright uses this empowering and democratic form of mental health treatment, marked by collaboration between clinician and client, to give users the knowledge and tools they need to make mental, emotional, and relational changes in their lives.
We draw on evidence-based models like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, as well as the cutting-edge discoveries of mind/body medicine. Our courses bring you the powerful results these models are known for in an easy-to-use format.
Healbright was created by a group of therapists and creatives who saw the limits of the mental healthcare system firsthand. As clinicians, we witnessed the transformative effects of psychotherapy and psychoeducation. We also saw expensive psychotherapy sessions, a fixation on mental illness, and excessive use of prescription medication.
With this in mind, we designed an online course model to empower our users with access to therapeutic tools in an easy to use format. We believe everybody can benefit from working with their own mind, and psychology should not be limited to only fixing what goes wrong with people.
